Blanche M. Stoneham, 91, formerly of North Fairfield, died Thursday, March 13, 2014 at The Laurels of New London. She was born on December 25, 1922, at home in Franklin Township in Richland County, daughter of the late Roy and Stella (Taylor) Tennis.
She graduated from Adario High School. Blanche married the love of her life, Richard "Dick" Stoneham on September 17, 1946. She was a devoted wife and worked on the family farm. Blanche enjoyed her neighbor children and her pets.
Blanche was a member of the North Fairfield United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Woman. She was also a member of the Modern Maids and Matrons Farm Woman's Club.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Frances Stoneham of North Fairfield; nieces and nephews, Bud (Dotty) Tennis of Ashland, Dana (Bill) Fast of Ashland, Vaughn (Stephanie) Tennis of Ashland, Leslie (Carol) Stoneham of North Fairfield, Dennis (Lynda) Stoneham of Norwalk, David Stoneham of Lorain, and David Galloway of Ashland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard in 1979; brother, Edward Tennis; brother-in-laws, Marion, Robert, Lester, Leon, Donald and Clyde Stoneham and niece, Jenice Galloway.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at North Fairfield Cemetery with Pastor Jim Gaston officiating. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the North Fairfield United Methodist Church, PO Box 207, North Fairfield, Ohio 44855.
