Carl Pay Obituary
Carl W. Pay, 78, of Savannah, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus after a sudden illness. Son of the late Walker and Anna Pay, born March 1, 1936 at the family home in Spencer and lived most of his life in Ashland County.
He was the former owner of Kar-Del plastics and C&M Country Café. Carl enjoyed walking, woodworking, traveling and camping, he especially loved being with his grandchildren.
Carl is survived by his children, Shari (James) Regan, Scott (Teresa) Pay and Christopher (Meredith) Pay all of Ashland; stepchildren, Michelle Cole of Delaware and Mark (Shelia) Shonkwiler of Cordova, AL; 17 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; siblings, Alva Pay of Mt. Vernon and Gerald Pay of Sullivan and his beloved golden retriever of 10 years, Emma. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dolores; second wife, Mary and siblings, Lawrence, Mary, Julia, Evelyn, Paul and Earl.
Family and close friends will gather at the Savannah Town Hall at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 19th. Memorial contributions in Carl's memory may be given to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1050 Dauch Drive, Ashland, Ohio 44805.
