Charlene Aukerman Obituary
Charlene Aukerman, 76, of Sullivan, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at her home. She was born May 2, 1938, in Morgantown, West Virginia and lived in the Sullivan area most of her life. Charlene and her husband "Bud" were Florida snowbirds and they loved spending time in the sun.
She was a graduate of Sullivan High School and worked at Eagle Rubber now Hedstrom in Ashland. Charlene most recently was a home health aide.
Charlene cherished time with her family.
Survived by her husband of 59 years, Arthur "Bud"; daughter, Brenda (Tom) Tyree of Wooster; son, Gary (Elaine) Aukerman of Jeromesville; grandchildren, Brandon Briggs, Karen Mathena, Seth Aukerman and Allison Aukerman; great grandchildren, William, Samuel and Kaitlyn Mathena; sister, Barb Snyder of Ashland and numerous nieces and nephews. Charlene was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Dorothy (Stevens) Pointer; great granddaughter, Sarah Briggs; 1 niece; 2 brother-in-laws and 1 sister-in-law.
Eastman Funeral Home in New London is honored to serve Mrs. Aukerman's family. Per Charlene's request there will be no calling hours. A private family service will take place at a later date.
