Charles E. "Chuck" Peppard graduated into heaven at the age of 87, on Monday, March 26, 2018 at his home in Ashland. He was born on August 16, 1930 in Creston, Ohio and lived most of his life in Ashland County.
Chuck proudly served in the U.S. Army during Korea from 1949-1952. He had worked at FE Myers in Ashland from 1963-1965 and Akron Brass in Wooster for 5 years. Chuck also worked at Zypher Industries in Ashland for 24 years. He retired from the company in 1992. After his retirement he worked 13 years at Priebe Apple Orchard in Nova.
Chuck was a faithful member of the Bethel Baptist Church. He was a member of the Ashland Senior Citizens. Chuck was a life member of the 1067 Ashland VFW and Ashland Legion 88 Post.
Chuck was the beloved husband to Patricia Peppard; children, Thomas Peppard, Lonnie Peppard, Elizabeth Hall, Llyod (Bonnie) Borman, John Peppard, Beatrice (Brian) Boss, John (Tonya) Kidd and Kathleen (Michael) Williams; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Katherine; 7 brothers-in-law and 4 sisters-in-law.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Helen (McNair) Peppard; 1st wife, Elizabeth Peppard; 2nd wife, Emma Lue Peppard; son, Michael (Darlene) Peppard; sister, Sally and brothers, Thomas and Richard Peppard.
The visitation for Chuck will be held at Eastman Funeral Home in New London from 4-7 pm on Wednesday, March 28, 2018. A service will be held at 11 am on Thursday at the Bethel Baptist, 575 US 250 North in Savannah with Rev. John Bouquet officating. His interment will follow at the Ashland Cemetery.
