The ultimate family man, he was devoted to his wife and best friend of sixty-three years Alice. He was cherished and admired by his Children Donald P. (Sharon), Debra Bethel (Terry), Diane Slater (Dale) and Daniel (Louise). Treasured by his grandchildren Adam Selzer, Todd Selzer (Catherine), Shannon Freehing, Daniel S. Freehling (Ashley). Great grandchildren Leighla and Benson Selzer. He also had children and grandchildren by extended family whom he loved deeply. Also survived by his loving brother Jack (Patricia). The loving brother to his late sister Nancy Freehling.
Donald loved traveling with his wife since his retirement from the Aluminum Company of American in 1988. He was particularly fond of Florida and wintered in Kissimmee for many years.
Family and friends will gather at a later time to pay tribute, share memories and celebrate his life.
