Elaine Kimbler, 60, of Wellington, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Mercy Allen Hospital. Born on December 13, 1954 in Warren to the late Frank Thomas and JoAnn (nee Schwartz) Neale, Elaine was a 1973 graduate of Howland High School and lived most of her adult life in the Wellington Area.
Elaine worked for the FAA as an Administrative Assistant to the Facility Manager. She previously worked as a 911 operator and was one of the first three operators hired for Lorain County. In her early years, Elaine worked as a truck driver. An animal lover, Elaine enjoyed fostering cats and dogs for Friendship APL.
Elaine is survived by her husband, Rickie Kimbler; step-children, Amanda Kimbler of San Diego, CA and Jonathan Kimbler of Panama City, FL; sisters, Clela Neale Stelnicki of Elyria and Donna Jefferson of Farmdale and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Frank Thomas Neale.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. at the Lorain County Metro Park Wellington Reservation Visitor Center, 535 Jones Road, Wellington.
