Gary A. Polachek, 59, of Greenwich, passed on to be with the Lord on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo. Gary was a kind and caring person who was always willing to lend a hand. He had many close friends and relatives and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Gary was born in Willard, Ohio on December 8, 1956 to the late Carl and Thelma (nee Lazar) Polachek. He had just celebrated his 40th anniversary with his loving wife Esta (nee Tackett) on May 15th. He leaves behind his children Gary Jr., Scott, and Andrea (Adam) Lee; 2 grandchildren, Cain, his "little buddy", and Marcus Lee; siblings Rob Hitchcock, Chris Polachek and Tanya Polachek.
Gary worked for CVG in Norwalk for 34 years. He was also a maintenance man for the Ripley Chapel, which he attended faithfully. He loved the outdoors, nature, fishing, and going to auctions.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his granddaughter Trinity, who he affectionately referred to as his "little Boo Boo".
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Ripley Chapel, 4230 Old State Rd, Willard, OH, where a service will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 11:30 am with Rev. Rick Branham officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Shiloh.
