Leah M. Stover, lifelong resident of New London, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015 at The Laurels of New London. She was 94.
She was born December 11, 1920, in New London, daughter to the late Charles and Hazel (McFarlin) Marsh.
Leah worked for the former CE Ward Company for many years and also built detonators for WWII bombs at a factory in Elyria.
She was a member of the New London United Methodist Church. Leah enjoyed playing cards and was a member of the Women's Bridge Club in New London. She was very family oriented and enjoyed spending time with all of her beloved children and grandchildren.
Leah is survived by her sons, Rodney (Sherrill) Stover of New London and David Stover of Ashland; daughter-in-law, Marie Stover; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Shirley (Tom) McCoppin of New London; brother, Ted (Jane) Marsh of New London and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin; son, Roger Stover; infant sister, Lois Marsh; sisters, Dorothy Bone, Norma Marsh and Ann Walter and brothers, Leonard and Lewis "Bud" Marsh.
Leah's family will greet friends from 4-8 pm on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London where a service will be held at 11 am Monday with Rev. Lorry Mabiala officiating.
Burial will follow in Grove Street Cemetery, New London.
