Marie C. Stafford

Marie C. Stafford, 85, of Jackson Township and formerly of Cleveland, died Thursday, August 14, 2014. She was born on June 26, 1929 in Canton to the late Robert and Marie Marks.

After graduating high school Marie attended cosmetology school and worked for several years as a cosmetologist before going back to school to become a nurse. She was a member of Saint Patrick's Catholic Church in Wellington. Marie was very artistic and enjoyed painting and drawing, she was equally talented at sewing and enjoyed making clothes. She liked to spend time in her garden and will be remembered for her delicious home cooking.

Marie is survived by her children Gregory Stafford, Sheryl Sikora both of Jackson TWP, Deborah Nemeth of North Ridgeville, and Sheila Demeter of North Royalton, 16 grandchildren, and her brother Donald Marks. She was preceded in death by her husband George, Sr., and her son George, Jr.

Friends and family will be received on Sunday, August 17, from 6-8 p.m. in the chapel at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 512 North Main Street, and on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10 a.m., Fr.
