Marjorie Bardy Obituary
Marjorie A. Bardy passed away at the age of 88 on Wednesday, June 22, 2017. She was born March 28, 1929 in Burbank, Ohio, daughter of the late James and Mary Belle (nee Schafer) Murr. She moved to New London and later lived in West Palm Beach, Florida and Pickens, South Carolina before moving back to New London.
She worked at the former CE Ward Company, Kent Sporting Goods and then Strauss and Sons in Ashland.
Marjorie was a member of the First Baptist Church of New London. She taught Sunday school, ran various kids and teen clubs and put together the church bulletins in the 1960's and 1970's.
She loved her family, people and her dogs and cats. Marjorie had an incredible memory.
Survived by her children, Barbara Jean Bardy of Oklawah, Flordia, Beverly Sue Bardy of South Carolina and Billy Lee (Natalie) Bardy of Ashland; 3 granddaughters, Kari (Neil) Gupta, Andrea Jo (Pete) White and Emma Kate Bardy; 6 great-grandchildren, Keegan and Jaiden Gupta, Parker, Hunter and Cooper White and Ella Barr and sister, Betty Fingulin of New London.
In addition to her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by her siblings, Mable Secrist, Ruth Marie McQuate, Dewey Murr, Jay Murr, Harold Murr and John Murr.
Services will be held at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions can be given to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1050 Dauch Drive, Ashland, Ohio 44805.
