Marvin Wireman, 81, of Greenwich, died Friday, December 29, 2017 at his home. He was born April 2, 1936 in Magoffin County, Kentucky, son of the late David, Sr. and Della (nee Bailey) Wireman. He had lived in Greenwich since he was 8 years old. Marvin was a 1955 Greenwich High School graduate. He worked for Kent Gifford Lumber Co., then Chesrown Music Store, Central Plastics, Akron Standard Mold and retired from Versitech. Marvin provided transportation for Mennonite and Amish families. He had been pastor of the Shiloh Pentecostal Church of God for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma (nee Ramey) Wireman, who he married June 6, 1959; his children, Lisa (Mason) Wolfe, Mark (Connie) Wireman, Annette Waters and Matthew (Melissa) Wireman; 7 Grandchildren, Jessica (Lawrence) Cavello, Brittany (Cole) Shepherd, Josh Wireman, Heather (Jake) Johnson, Tyler Wireman, Curtis Dorion, Breanna Dorian; 5 Great Grandchildren and 1 on the way due in March, Ayden, Quinn, Tucker, Huxley and Grady. He was preceded in death by his 5 sisters, Frankie Miller, Mary Stephens, Susie Bolen, Lonnie Pelham and Sallie Tackett; 4 brothers, Arnold, Charlie, Jake and David Wireman.
Family and friends will be received from 2 - 8 p.m. Monday, January 1, 2018 at the Shiloh Pentecostal Church of God, 117 Baseline Rd., Greenwich, Ohio 44837. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church with Pastor Mark Wireman officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery. Memorials if desired may be given to the Shiloh Pentecostal Church of God, c/o Mark Wireman, 11 Beachwood Dr., Greenwich, Ohio 44837. Eastman Funeral Home, 49 West Main St., Greenwich assisted the family with arrangements.
