Orlen Dean Haynes, 71, of Penfield Twp. and formerly of Cleveland, died Monday, January 19, 2015 at his home. He was born in Newport, OH on November 30, 1943 to the late Howard and Bertha (nee Bayless) Haynes. Orlen proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean War and reached the rank of Specialist 4th Class.
For many years he worked at Newburg and South Shore Railway in Cleveland as an electrician and signalman. Orlen found great joy in fishing; he often enjoyed this hobby on his boat in Lake Erie. He also loved racing and old cars.
Survivors include his wife, Erma Lee (nee Lilly); children Guy R. Haynes (D.J.) and Kevin D. Haynes; 3 grandchildren and siblings, Wilma Bailey and Bernard "Bun" Huff. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Violet Trish, Geniveia Norris, Judith and Marvin Haynes.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 23 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington and from 10 am until the 11 am Funeral Service on Saturday.
