Paul D. Rowe

Paul D. Rowe, 67, of Plymouth, died Sunday, July 6th at St. Vincent's in Toledo. He was born on February 5, 1947, in Norwalk, son of the late Frank and Dora Row. Paul lived all of his life in the Greenwich and Plymouth areas.

He graduated from South Central High School in 1966. Paul served in the US Marine Corps during Vietnam, where he was honored as a Purple Heart recipient. After being injured in Vietnam, Paul became an advocate for disabled veterans. He was a proud member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Marine Corps League in Norwalk. Paul was also a member of the Norwalk American Legion Post 41 and the VFW Post 2743 in Norwalk.

Paul worked at Akron Standard Mold, Roth Corporation in New London and retired from truck driving with Swift.

He loved being with his children and grandchildren. Paul also cherished spending time with the many groups that he belonged to.

Paul is survived by his children, Samantha Birckbichler of Richmond Dale, Ohio, Thomas Rowe of Norwalk and Kandice (Kevin) Todaro of Tukwila, Washington; grandchildren, Kylie Rowe, Bryan Jordan, Courtney Rowe and Brittany Canterberry and great grandchildren, Matthew Jordan, Asha Canterberry, Joseph Rowe and Landon Rowe. He is also survived by his siblings, Emily Kennard, Thelma Jean McMillian, Claud Row, Benny Row, Alice Smith, Glenda Dye, Rosie Wise, Tammy Wilson, James Row, Orpha Waller, Kathleen Francisco, Imagene Vanderpool and Cletus Back. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of nearly 35 years, Marlene and siblings, Kathleen, Myrtle, Forest, Glen, Norman and mother, Smantha (Johnson) Row.

Paul's family will greet friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, July 11th at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W. Main St., Greenwich where a service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday with Pastor Bob Hudberg officiating. Burial will follow in Edwards Grove Cemetery.
