Raffel Dean Hunter, 65, of Ashland, passed away on Saturday, November, 21, 2015 at OhioHealth MedCentral Hospital in Mansfield.
Raffel was a man who loved his country music (especially George Jones), loved reading his bible, loved his pets, and loved his wife of over 44 years Emogene dearly.
He was born in Kentucky to the late Oliver Hunter and Bossie (nee Hall) Hunter. Raffel moved to Ohio in the 1970's for work. Raffel retired from Cleveland Steel but he had also worked for the former Ohio Body and the New London Tile Company.
In addition to his wife Emogene and his mother Bossie Hunter, Raffel is survived by his brothers, Greg and Chris Hunter of Kentucky, Tim Hunter of North Carolina and Pat, Nathan and Ryan Hunter of Tennesee and sisters, Jennifer, Sherry and Elmetta all of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his father Oliver.
In keeping with Raffel's wishes he will be cremated and a memorial service will be planned for a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses. Eastman Funeral Home is honored to assist the Hunter family with arrangements.
