Ralph Smugala Obituary
Ralph Stephen Smugala, 60, of Huntington Twp, died Friday, September 23, 2016. Born on November 20, 1955, he was the son of the late Edward and EIleen (nee Balmer) Smugala and was a graduate of Lorain High.
Ralph worked as a pipe fitter for Malace HR and worked at the GM plant in Brookpark. He had previously worked for the Lorain County Maintenance Department. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Ralph cared for many animals over his life ranging from cats and dogs to turkeys and foxes. Most of all he cherished time with his family especially his grandson.
Ralph is survived by his sons Chris (Holly) Smugala of New York, Stephen (Gabrielle) Smugala of Huntington Twp., and Ryan Smugala of West Lake; a grandson and 2 grandchildren on the way. He was preceded in death by his brother Ed.
Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, September 28, from 5-8 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main St., Wellington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday.
