Ruth Humphrey Obituary
Ruth Irene Humphrey, 71, of Greenwich, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2017 at the Laurels of New London. She was born January 26, 1946 in Woodsfield, Ohio to the late Charles Oscar and Edna Mae (nee Bright) Burns. She graduated from New London High School in 1964.
Ruth loved animals, birds, nature, gardening and flowers. She liked knitting when she was younger, and enjoyed the Christmas season. She was a very professional and caring nurse. Ruth had been a member of the New London Alliance Church for many years.
She is survived by her fiancé and long time companion William "Bill" Johnson of Greenwich; children, Ryan (Kristen) Johnson of Middleburg Heights and Curtis (Amanda) Johnson of Wellington and grandchildren, Kaylyn, Maya, Grant and Caden.
Friends may call from noon until the 2 pm service on Monday November 20, 2017 at Eastman Funeral Home (200 West Main St., New London). Pastor Doug Lang will be officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Huron County Humane Society 246 Woodlawn Ave, Norwalk, OH 44857 or Stein Hospice 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
