Thomas M. "Tom" Linden

Thomas M. "Tom" Linden, 64, of Spencer, died April 13, 2016, in San Francisco, CA, while on vacation fulfilling a lifelong dream to see the Redwoods. He was born on March 13, 1952 in Elyria, to the late Donald and Clara (nee Plas) Linden. Tom was a 1970 graduate of Keystone High School and with the exception of 9 years in Texas was a lifelong resident of the Spencer and Wellington area.

Tom owned and operated Linden's Auto Parts Store in LaGrange with his wife, Chris, for several years before leaving for Texas to work at a local school. He was also a farmer for many years. Tom was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 8 in Wellington, as well as the Wellington VFW 6941. He loved to play board and card games with friends and family and not many days went by that he didn't enjoy a game of Trouble.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Chris (nee Danesi) Linden; children, Ben (Luciann) Linden of Pittsburg and Becky VonSeggern of Grafton; grandchildren, Luke, Nathan and Nichole; siblings, Jean (Art) Rucker of Elyria, Donna (Bruce) Robinson of Chesterland, Joe (Tammy) Linden of Seville, Jerry (Debbie) Linden of Lodi and Mike (Jean) Linden of Sullivan and his former wife, Peg (nee Bartoto) Linden. He also leaves behind his beloved cat, Boots, who misses him greatly. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his grandparents, Chris and Catherine Linden and Bill and Catherine Plas.

Friends and family will gather on Thursday, April 21st, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and again on Friday from 10 am until the time of services beginning at 11 am at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main Street, Wellington.
