"Wil" (Willard) Edwards, 72, of New London, Ohio passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 17, 1946 in Winfield, WV to the late Elmer and Pansy (nee Salmons) Edwards.
Wil was a generous, and genuine, all around good guy. He was a kind and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, who cherished his family. He had an appreciation for the outdoors and was a hard worker. He retired from GM in 1995, but had worked all his life as a farmer. He always showed great care and compassion with his animals and horses.
Wil is survived by his loving wife of over 36 years, Sherry (nee Boshnett) Edwards; daughters, DeNita (Phil) Tuttle, Karen (Chuck) Justavick; stepdaughter, Lynette; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and brothers, Dennis and Dillard.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Macel and Sylvia.
A visitation and gathering will be held for Wil at Eastman Funeral Home in New London from 5-8 pm on Monday, June 4, 2018. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Stein Hospice (1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio, 44870).
