Woodrow Barnett, age 86, of Willard, Ohio, went to be with Jesus, Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Stein Hospice, Sandusky. He was born April 15, 1928 in Canton, Ohio, son of the late Warren and Gracie (Perkins) Barnett. Woodrow had lived most of his life in the Willard area. He retired from the B&O Railroad after 30 years. Woodrow was a member of the Faith Builders Church, Willard. He loved to sing at church, loved being at church and sharing about the Lord with friends. Woodrow enjoyed the outdoors and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille (Kilgore) Barnett, whom he married February 6, 1953; his children, Patricia Shepherd, Brenda (Wendell) Gearhart, Vickie Rivera, Jeffery (Linda) Barnett, Michael (Diane) Barnett, Lora (Timmy) Pugh, Jason Barnett; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by infant children, Linda Faye and Matthew Paul Barnett, his siblings, Dolly, Molly, Ollie, Dorie, Glessie, Mable, Russell, Riley; 2 son in laws, Harrison Shepherd and Jimmy Rivera.
Friends may call from 2 - 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the Shiloh Pentecostal Church of God, 117 Baseline Rd., Greenwich, Ohio 44837 where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Fred Rowe, Jr. officiating.
