Suzanne Lilly Cain, 57, of West Salem, died Sunday, March 24, 2024. Born on September 16, 1966 in Lorain, she was the daughter of the late Roger Lee Lilly and Linda Lou Lucas. Suzanne was a 1984 graduate of Black River High School. Suzi attended LCCC where she earned an associate’s degree and then Ashland University where she obtained her bachelor's degree, both in accounting.
Suzi was a talented musician and played piano in a country and western band, Free Spirit, with her father. She also enjoyed playing piano for various churches she attended and for weddings and parties. Suzi loved to bake and cook but more than that she loved to feed people. She was especially known for her soups, breads, and cookies. She was passionate about caring for her animals and horses. Most of all Suzi cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Cain; children, Jami (Kevin) Mosher, of West Salem, and Benjamin Gingerich, of Wellington; step children, Cassandra Oates, Nicole Baker, Susan Cain, Misty Skelley, and Jason Cain; grandchildren, Jackie, Kevin Jr, Roger, Lulu, Tyler, Preston, Christopher, Jerry, Mary Jane, Lashell, Traceton, Dimitry, Alexander, and Eleanor; a great-granddaughter, Evangeline; and siblings, Belinda Yancer, Cathy (Gino) Lilly-Nardo, Rogena Lilly, and Stephanie Lilly; 10 nieces and nephews; and a sister at heart, Luann Jordan.
There will be a graveside service for family and friends on Friday, April 5, 2024, at Huntington Cemetery beginning at 11 a.m. A Celebration of Life will be held on April 28, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Penfield Township Hall, 41012 State Route 18, Wellington, OH 44090.
