Charlotte A. Simons, 85, of Norwalk, died Sunday, August 25, 2019 at Gaymont Nursing Center. Born on January 12, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth Good. Charlotte grew up in Berlin Heights and later moved to Norwalk where she raised her family.
Charlotte worked for Philbo House, Westinghouse, Fanny Farmer, and then for Hergatts Western shop. She then stared her own business, Charlotte’s Ceramics, and she also worked alongside her husband, Joe in his business, J.H. Simons Plumbing and HVAC. Charlotte was the State Champion in Fast-draw and was a talented sharpshooter. She enjoyed playing cards and crafting.
Survivors include her children Joe (Lois) Simons, VA, Wyatt (Pam) Simons of Sandusky, and Terrie (Tony) Pyanowski, of Norwalk; 9 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; siblings Richard (Mary Lou) Good, Cora Lou Snyder, and Paulette Turley. Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Joe Simons; son Mike Simons; and siblings Albert Good and Yvonne Shupe.
Friends and family will be received on Thursday, August 29 from 10:00 am until the time of services beginning at 11:00 am at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
