Dylan Trevor Kazey Mundy

Dylan Trevor Kazey Mundy, 29, of Columbus, died on September 11, 2019, the result of a fatal drug overdose.  Although Dylan struggled with addiction, he had just recently celebrated 2 years of being clean, and had spent much of his time, and efforts, helping others facing the same demons.  Given his outspoken nature, he would have undoubtedly, used this as an opportunity to choose honesty, over privacy.  Especially if it meant there was any chance of saving a life, waking someone up, or preventing anyone from ever trying fentanyl or heroin.

Dylan was born on May 31, 1990 to Danny P. Mundy Jr. and Brenda (Mullins) Martin in Sandusky.  He graduated from Western Reserve in 2007, and was an extremely hard worker, most recently with Fineline as part of their sales team. 

Dylan was a passionate and loyal man of who lived a life of extremes.  He could be your best friend or your worst enemy.  He loved Air Jordan shoes, cologne, watches, rap music, exercise, and Hondas, and enjoyed going to the movies with his family and friends. Dylan was undeniably loved, and he showered his nieces and nephews with that same love.

Survivors include his father, Danny P. Mundy Jr.; mother, Brenda (Michael Kanuch) Martin; siblings, Amanda (Josh) Kreps, Derek (Maddy) Mundy, Moriah Kiskaden, Sue Ellen (Charles) Guadagno, David (Jessica) Goodwin and Taylor Morgan; Uncles, Eric Mundy and Johnny Mullins; aunts, Patty Hauler and Christine Savage; nieces and nephews, Jillian and Juniper Kreps, Mackenna, Kennedi, Connor and Charlee Kiskaden, Kadence and Gabe Guadagno, Lilly, Isaac and Phoenyx Goodwin; paternal grandparents, Danny (Sandy) Mundy; maternal grandfather, Claude Mullins and numerous cousins.

Dylan was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Sandra Good.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home from 12:30 pm until 2:30 pm.  A brief break for the family will follow from 2:30 pm until the time of the service which will begin at 3 pm.  Memorial contributions may be directed in Dylan’s memory to “Get Mad LLC.” (6790 Tanya Terrace, Reynoldsburg, OH 43068).  Get Mad LLC, is a group dedicated to helping people struggling with addiction.  Online condolences may be expressed by visiting  www.walkereastmanheydingerfh.com.
