Ethan Nathaniel Collins

Ethan Nathaniel Collins, 23, of New London, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 13, 2018 at his home. Ethan will be fondly remembered and forever missed as a strong, handsome young man who loved his family and had a great heart. He was extremely active for most of his life until he was involved in an accident, in May of 2017, which had left him paralyzed from the neck down.

Born on May 25, 1995 to Rodney and Michelle (nee Evans) Collins, Ethan graduated from Pioneer Career & Technology Career Center's welding program in 2013 and went on to the ironworker apprenticeship program through the Ironworkers Local 550 Union of Canton, Ohio.

Ethan was an outdoorsman who especially enjoyed fishing, hunting and bull riding.

In addition to his parents, Ethan is survived by his loving wife Emily Jean (nee Johnston) Collins; sister, Emily Collins; brother, Zachery Collins; grandparents, Ken (Shirley) Asher and Robin Evans; Uncles, Joey and Chucky; Aunts, Becky and Courtney; several cousins, best friend, Christopher Nickoli and many other friends.

Ethan was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Clyde Collins and maternal grandmother, Patsy.

Visitation for Ethan will be held on Wednesday, October 17th from 4 until 8 pm at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W Main St, New London and again from 10 am until the time of the 11 am service on Thursday October 18th with Pastor Rob Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in Fitchville Cemetery. Memorial contributions if desired may be directed to the family in care of Eastman Funeral Home.
