Gary F Schnell I, age 76, died July 25, 2019 at home. He was born on September 11, 1942 in Norwalk to the late Irvin and Linda (Kienzle) Schnell.
Gary loved his family and his country and cherished his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a caregiver to many and loving to all. He was part of the Ohio National Guard and Norwalk Eagles 711 and had worked for the Huron Lime Company for 4 years and Janesville Manufacturing for over 34 years before his retirement.
Survivors include his children, Diana Nickles, Gary Schnell II, James Michael “Mike” Leigh, Andrea (Bryce) Henson, Pamela Clemons and Kristi Witter; brother, Robert (Gaylene) Schnell; grandchildren, Michael Ezell, Amber Brooks, Elizabeth and Sarah Howe, Nicholas Henson, Hanna Eischeid, Ellie Mireles, Emma Danvers, Caleb and Claire Clemons, Michael and Shelby Leigh; great grandchildren, Quentin and Raylen Brooks, Nolan Ezell, Casen Howe, Kennedy Henson, Alex Henson, Winnie and Frankie Eischeid, and one on the way.
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his loving wife of more than 40 years Wanda (Mullins) Schnell; son in-law Lenny Nickles; brothers, Lee and Jim Schnell and great grandson, Mikey Ezell.
A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2019 from 2 pm until the time of the memorial service at 5pm at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home. Pastor Rich Forman will officiate the memorial service. Burial will take place at a later date in Woodlawn Cemetery.
