Gloria J. Myers

Gloria J. (Miller) Myers, 75, of Louisville, KY, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 30, 2019 at Hosparus Health Inpatient Care Center, in Louisville, KY.  She was born on November 9, 1944 in New London, OH to the late Earl J. and Helen (Wolfe) Miller.  Gloria graduated from South Central High School in 1962 and graduated from Columbus Ohio Business College in 1963 and received an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Development from Firelands College which she used in her career teaching with both Erie and Huron County’s “Head Start” programs. 

Gloria was active in 4-H, helping many young people with their projects for the fair and was instrumental in forming the “Krafty Kids” 4-H Club.  She enjoyed reading romance novels, spending time with her family and cherished her grandchildren. 

Survivors include her sons; Travis and Eric Myers of Norwalk and Scott Myers of Louisville, KY; 3 grandsons, Dustin Myers of Akron, OH, Andrew and Aiden Myers of Louisville, KY and sister, Pam (Art) Norman of Norwalk.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Nelson E. Myers; daughter, Hope Myers, nephews, Christopher Norman and Joseph Sisson; aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws, Forrest and Lydia Myers.     

Friends may call from noon until the time of the 2 pm service on Monday, January 6, 2020 at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, 243 Benedict Ave., Norwalk, OH 44857.  Pastor Ann Marshall will officiate with burial to follow in Olena Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the funeral home in care of the family.  Online condolences may be expressed by visiting www.walkereastmanheydingerfh.com
