Hilda M Wilde

Norwalk, Ohio – Hilda M. Wilde, 87, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 in her home. She was born to the late Fred and Frances (Weisenberger) Kluding on October 9, 1931 in Norwalk, Ohio and was a lifelong area resident.  She graduated from St. Paul Catholic High School in 1949, and worked for a local attorney, doing administrative duties and later worked for the Norwalk City School system in the cafeteria and also served as a bus aid.  Hilda was a country girl at heart, she loved life lived it to the fullest.  She was an avid golfer, enjoyed going to her grandchildren’s sporting events and she was a fan of all Cleveland sports. Hilda enjoyed most of all being with her family and friends.  She is survived by her children, Suzanne (John) Brutsche of Norwalk, Ohio, Joanna Wilde of Castalia, Ohio, Julie (Michael) Hehrer of Huron, Ohio, and Gary (Cynthia) Wilde of Norwalk, Ohio. Hilda is also survived by 9 grandchildren, by 9 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, John W. Wilde in 1989, and by her siblings. Evelyn Jenkins, Ambrose Kluding, Clarann Casciani, and Frederick Kluding in infancy. Friends may call on Friday, July 26, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St. Norwalk, Ohio 44957.     A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 10:30 a.m., in St. Mary Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church, 38 W. League St. Norwalk, Ohio 44857. Father Francis Mariadas will officiate. Interment will be at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main St. Norwalk, Ohio 44857.
