Janis Marie (Straw) Roberts

Janis Marie Roberts, 75, of New London, died at home on July 20, 2019.  She was born on February 3, 1944 in Elyria to the late Robert Hugh Preston and Marie Marie (Seville) Straw. 

Janis enjoyed knitting and crocheting and loved all animals, especially cats, dogs and horses.

Survivors include her children, Cindy (Paul) Asmus, Don Roberts and Sandy (Kevin) Asmus; grandchildren, Jennifer (Justin) Dotson, Jessica (Taylor) Wright, Dustin Asmus and Brandy (Ronald Jr.) Osborne; sister, Judy Workman; great grandchildren, Kalease, Kenzie, Charlee and Joseph Dotson and Jack Wright.

In addition to her parents, Janis was preceded in death by her husband, Gary; brother, William “Bill” and grandson, Joseph. 

Visitation will be on Friday, July 26, 2019 from 11 am until the time of the 1 pm service at New London First Baptist Church, 432 Park Ave, where a service will be held on Friday, July 26, 2019.
