Russell P. McGue

Russell P. McGue, 58, of New London passed away at home on October 27, 2019.  He was born January 26, 1961 in Norwalk, OH to Larry F. and Joyce (White) McGue. 

He was a graduate of Western Reserve and Ehove, where he learned a trade in auto body.  He also received a boiler’s license.  He worked at Norwalk Furniture for over 20 years and also drove truck for Metrico Trucking. 

He loved softball, pool league and was an avid hunter and enjoyed road trips on his Harley with his wife Carol.  He was a member of the New London Eagles and the New London American Legion.  He had a special love for his dogs, Harley and Angel. 

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Carol (Yates) McGue; son, Anthony (Alyssa) McGue; stepson, Brett Richards; brother, Larry (Janet) McGue; half-brothers, Shane (Stephanie) Jefferys and Brandon (Elizabeth) Dingus; 8 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry F. and Joyce McGue; step-daughter-in-law, Heather Richards, in-laws, Corbert and Siltana Yates and brother-in-law, Orbie Case.

Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.  There will be no services, a private burial will be held at a later date.  Arrangements were entrusted to Eastman Funeral Home, New London, Ohio.  Online condolences may be shared at www.eastmanfuneralhome.com.
