Shirley Gene Pinkman, 83, of Norwalk, died Sunday morning, July 14, 2019, at the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky. Born on October 1, 1935 in El Dorado Springs, MO, he was the son of the late Albert and Thelma Pinkman. Gene proudly served in the United States Army. He moved to Sandusky in the 70’s and then made his way to the Norwalk area where he lived the remainder of his life.
Gene worked for IPC and Union Chain in Norwalk. He enjoyed spending time in his garden. Gene will be remembered as a jack of all trades, enjoying tinkering with cars, or just puttering in the garage.
Survivors include his loving wife of nearly 33 years, Dessie; children David Pinkman, of Sandusky, and Jeanine Pinkman, of San Diego; 3 grandchildren; sister Jessie Barns and brother Charles Pinkman. Gene was preceded in death by two sons Albert and Chris Pinkman.
