David A. Pleasnick, 75, passed away peacefully Monday, September 17, 2018, at Mercy New Life Hospice surrounded by family.
He was born September 4, 1943, and graduated from Oberlin High School in 1961. He worked 10 years at BF Goodrich and 43 years in grocery store management for Local 880, retiring from Giant Eagle in 2000.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing with his sons, hunting, traveling, casino trips, gardening and sports.
He is survived and deeply missed by his loving and caring wife of 54 years, Linda (Hanmer); children Michele (Braden) Polansky of TX, David II, William, Jean Smith and Richard; grandchildren Kyle and Sydney Polansky and Christopher and Samantha Smith; sisters Martha (Tom) Jones and Virginia Rogers; and in-laws, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents William and Alice (Parker), infant brother Billy, sister Mary Jane (Steve) Randolph, brother-in-law Michael Rogers and son-in-law Paul Smith.
Friends may call on Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 4-7 pm at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S Main St, Wellington, where services will be held on Friday at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington, OH.
