Dennis R. Kitko, 73, of Wellington, died Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at Elyria Medical Center. Born on March 16, 1946, in Cleveland, Dennis was the son of the late Michael and Joanna (nee Dmytriw) Kitko. He graduated from Lincoln West High School in Cleveland.
He started his career in Engineering. A true entrepreneur, he and his wife owned Kitko Upholstry for most of their lives. He was active with St. Ambrose for many years and was involved with the Marriage Encounter Experience. Most recently, he attended St. Patrick Catholic Church. Dennis enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and bird watching.
Family meant everything to him; and to quote his favorite movie, The Wizard of Oz, "A heart is not judged by how much you loved; but by how much you are loved by others."
He leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years, Linda (nee Spicer); sons, Doug (Fran), of New London, Greg (Yvonne), of Wakeman, Craig (Lisa), of Berea; 4 grandchildren, Mike, Kelly, Josh, and Matt; siblings, Eugene, Rich, and Cindy; and many nieces, nephews, and Godchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 29, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington. Mass of Christian Burial will be at noon at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 512 N. Main St., Wellington, with Father David Trask officiating.
