Elliana Grace Holmes

Elliana Grace Holmes, 22 month old daughter of Thomas and Catherine Holmes rests in God's care. She was born on January 26, 2016, in Cleveland, and died on December 18, 2017.

Elliana was a vibrant and joyous presence. Every moment was a wonderful adventure to her. Her enormous energy filled the air as she discovered the world and attempted to master her independence, exclaiming "me me" to tell the world "I can do this myself". She was loving and affectionate, finding joy in the smallest of things. Elliana enjoyed dressing herself in crazy outfits and she believed a dress over her pajamas was perfect for bed time. Elliana's favorite times of the day was her bubble bath or curling up with her family and her favorite books. Our forever love and joy.

Left to cherish her memory are her parents Thomas and Catherine (nee Downs) Holmes, her brother whom she loved, Luke Thomas Holmes; Katie Krueger her beloved "Aunt", grandparents Don and Norma Downs and Robert and Shiela Holmes; aunts and uncles Chris and Beth Holmes, Katherine "Kayker" Holmes and Dave Cravener, Bob and Angie Holmes, Brian and Aimee Holmes, Denise Halley, Pat and Penny Downs, Donna Payton, John and Cyndy Downs, Joe and Michele Downs, and Nancy and Mike McGinty; and many cousins.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday, December 21, from 3-7 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 south Main St, a Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday at 10 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with procession and luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children's Museum of Cleveland or the Akron City Zoo so that more children can experience the little joys that Elliana found in every moment of her life.
