Evelyn Marie Auble

Evelyn Marie Auble, 89, of Wellington, died on July 5, 2018 at Kingston of Vermilion. A daughter of the late Frederick and Nellie (nee Chambers) Marmie, Evelyn was born in Wayne Township on July 2, 1929 and graduated from Beallsville High School. Evelyn worked at a nurse's aide at Weber Health Care and thoroughly enjoyed her 18 years there.

Her family will remember her homemade noodles that she made for special gatherings. Evelyn was also an avid baker who made delicious pies and cookies. At Christmas, she baked batches for friends, family and neighbors and enjoyed delivering her goodies. One of her best joys was working in her yard - she loved taking care of flowers and cultivated lilac bushes around her house.

Survivors include her loving children, Shirley Batton, of Marion, Kenneth (Dana) Auble, of Cosby, TN, Charles Auble, of Ottway and Christopher Auble of Findlay; 4 grandchildren, Jassen Summers, Christina Fisher, Zachary Batton, Seth Auble; 1 great grandson, Matthew Fisher; 2 great, great granddaughters, Leila and Alexa; and her brother, David Marmie of MI. Evelyn was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Brenda; daughter, Shelia Summers; granddaughter, Amber Batton; sisters, Mabel, Eleanor, Jessie and Ida Louise; brothers, Carl, Charles, Elmer, and Robert and half brothers, Marian Thompson and Carris Marmie.

Friends and family will be received on Sunday, July 8 from 3-6 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington where visitation will also be held on Monday, July 9 from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service. Pastor Mike Sarpor will officiate and burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington. Memorials, if desired, may be directed to Lakeview Baptist Church, 591 Ferndale Ave., Vermilion, OH 44809.
