George Michael Reising, 78, of Wellington, died Monday, August 27, 2018. Born on September 15, 1939, he was the son of the late Raymond and Florence (nee Sullivan) Reising. George grew up in North Ridgeville and attended St. Peters and then Elyria Catholic Schools.
George was a proud sheet metal worker and later became a sheet metal Business Agent with Local 33 in Vermilion. He was active with his union where he advocated for the rights of his fellow workers. George would give his time to teach apprentice metal workers welding skills. He was a dedicated member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Wellington. George enjoyed fishing, golfing, and bowling. He was a talented handy man whose determination would push him to master all sorts of trades, and he truly loved working on various projects around his home.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 48 years, Joanne (nee Millis); he was a loving father to Daniel (Kim) Reising, of Dayton, Aimee (Dan) Derezic, of Euclid, Donald (Laura) Reising, of TN, and George (Juliann) Reising, of Sheffield; loving grandfather to many grandchildren; he is also survived by sisters Ann Bring, and Elaine (Ed) Cook. George was preceded in death by his brother Dale Reising.
