Jenette Laferty Obituary
Jenette Ann Laferty, 85, of Willard, died Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at the Laurels of New London. Born on November 2, 1933 in Attica, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Orpha (nee Willford) Pine. Jenette moved to Willard in 1956 where she and her husband built a home.
Jenette worked as a cook with the Willard City Schools for a short time. She was a member of the New Haven United Methodist Church. Jenette was talented knitting and crocheting and enjoyed spending time in her flower garden. Most of all she cherished time spent with her family.
Survivors include her children Patsy (Robert "Butch") Thompson, Mike (Donna) Laferty, both of Willard, Samuel B. (Deborah) Laferty, of Akron, and Randolph Scott (Penny) Laferty, of Willard; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister Joyce Howard, of Hebron. Jenette was preceded in death by her loving husband Ottis Laferty, son Gregory Laferty, and 10 siblings.
A private family burial will take place at New Haven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice. Condolences may be expressed online at www.eastmanfuneralhome.com.
