Joyce Frisby

Joyce Frisby, 78, of Greenwich, died Friday, March 30, 2018 at Concord Care in Sandusky. Born on March 3, 1940 in Gunlock, KY, she was the daughter of the late Rome and Rebecca (nee Shepherd) Hale. Joyce came to Greenwich as a youth and lived most of her life there.

Joyce retired from Midwest in Shelby, where she worked as a custodian. She enjoyed being an active member of her church community. Joyce also liked to spend time gardening and canning. She also cherished caring for and spending time with her dogs.

Survivors include her children Sally (Alfred) Campbell, Robert Jewell, and Adam (Connie) Jewell, all of Greenwich; 4 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. Joyce was preceded in death by her husbands Robert Jewell and Ray Frisby; son Michael Jewell and daughter Cathy McClellan; and grandson Jerome Campbell.

Friends and family will be received on Monday, April 2, from 1-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 West Main Street, Greenwich, where services will be held on Tuesday beginning at 11 a.m. Rev Delmer Bailey will officiate and burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery Greenwich.
