Martha Rose DeBerry, 89, of New London, died peacefully on October 30, 2018. Martha was born in Independence, WV to Ross Dayton and Ina Blanche (Taylor) Squires. In her youth, Martha played guitar and sang with her brother Jack on the "Mack and Jack Show" on WV radio. She enjoyed dancing and baking and was an avid reader with elegant penmanship. Over the years Martha always had a solid work ethic and was employed as a seamstress, a retail manager, and a machinist in the course of her life. She was extremely creative and also authored her own biography. Her children inherited her opinionated, independent qualities and sassy sense of humor. Most of all, Martha was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include daughters, Debra (Paul) Patterson, Kristel (Richard) Ramonis; son, Michael "Tony" (Tammy) Losiewicz and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Victor Cress and Jack Squires; sister, Constance Johnson; daughter, Annette Trezise and grandson, Jon Patterson. Martha will be buried with her parents at Mount Zion Cemetery in Masontown, WV.
