Robert Alan "Bob" Dupee, 74, of Wellington died Monday, September 25, 2017 at Kingston of Vermilion. Born on September 24, 1943 in Mount Vernon, he was the son of the late Dean and Phyliss (nee Houchin) Dupee. Bob was a 1961 graduate of South Central High School in Greenwich where he lived until moving to Wellington in 1975. He graduated from Tiffin College and proudly served in the United States Navy.
Bob served the Village of Wellington for 32 years as the Village Administrator and was instrumental in the creation and development of the Wellington Recreation Park and Wellington Industrial Park. Bob was an avid golfer and a member of the Wellington VFW, the American Legion and the Wellington Masonic Lodge #127.
Survivors include his son Steven (Laurie) Dupee, of Wellington; granddaughters Hanna and Jessica; siblings Tom Dupee, Jim Dupee, Bill Dupee and Norma Robson. Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years Sally (nee Brown) Dupee, and their daughter Shelly Dupee.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 30, beginning at 11 a.m. at the Wellington First United Methodist Church, 127 Park Place, Wellington, 44090. Pastor Paul Wilson will officiate and burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob's memory may be directed to the Wellington Park Project, c/o Village of Wellington, 115 Willard Memorial Square.
