Ronald Heilman Obituary

Ronald E. Heilman, 86, of Oberlin died Wednesday, December 19, 2018 in Brighton, surrounded by his family. Born on May 17, 1932 in Kenton, he was the son of the late Wm Bryan and Ruth (nee Thompson) Heilman. Ronald graduated from Oberlin High School in 1950 and served 2 years in the Army during the Korean War.

Ronald worked as a mechanic for a Chevrolet dealership in Elyria retiring in 1991. Cars where a big part of Ronald's life; he enjoyed working on them, collecting them, and going to car shows and swap meets. Friends and family were important to Ronald and he was always willing to lend a hand to help someone.

Survivors include his sister Doris Pitts; nieces and nephews Linda Leimbach Murray (John), Steve Leimbach, Kathy (Roy Neher) Leimbach, Elaine (Randy) Jameyson, and Alan (Keri) Pitts; and many great nieces and nephews. Ronald was preceded in death by his sister Betty Leimbach and brothers-in-law Harold Leimbach and Robert Pitts.

Friends and family will be received on Sunday, January 6, from 2 until the time of services beginning at 3 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main St, Wellington, 44090. Burial will talk place on a later date at Brighton Township cemetery.
