Shawn Gregory Willis

Shawn Gregory Willis, 32, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 27, 2018 in New London. He was born on September 9, 1985 in Sandusky.

Shawn will be remembered as a kind, sensitive soul who loved his brothers, nieces, nephews and family. His infectious smile could light up a room. Shawn had no fear of making conversation with anyone and he enjoyed having a good time. He loved movies and had an uncanny memory for movie quotes. Shawn was a loyal fan of the Cleveland Indians, Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes.

He graduated in 2004 from New London High School and he also took carpentry at EHOVE. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Shawn will be sadly missed by his mother, Denise ("Rock") Huff of New London; father, Michael (Lydia) Willis of Florida; siblings, Michael (Samantha) Willis of New London, Erik (Virginia) Willis, New Jersey, Brook Huff, Gabby Huff and Jake (Kate) Huff; nieces and nephews, Leah, Nathan and Ivan Willis, Layla and Mallory Willis and Jordan and Andrew Duposki; grandparents, Mary Barker, Joann (Bob) Kravis and Ron (Sue) Huff

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Glenn Willis and Babe Barker, and cousin, Chris Hite.

The visitation for Shawn will be held at Eastman Funeral Home in New London from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm Friday, August 31, 2018. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9 am on Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 18 Park Avenue, New London. His interment will follow at Grove Street Cemetery in New London.

Memorial contributions in Shawn's honor can be given to The Phil Seker Helping Hand Fund, 316 West Mason Road, Milan, Ohio 44846. The Phil Seker Helping Hand Fund is a program intended to help Ehove students who need school supplies, uniforms, lunch money, etc.
