Sipkje (Sally) Krikke
August 20, 1921 - June 11, 2018
Sipkje Krikke, age 96, passed peacefully from her earthly home to her heavenly home to be with her Lord on June 11, 2018.
She was born on August 20, 1921 in Heidenskip in Friesland, the Netherlands to Houke Sible de Vries and Foekje Klaas Bakker.
She immigrated to the United States, with her husband and daughter, from the Netherlands in 1951. They eventually settled on a farm in Greenwich where she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Christian Alliance Church in Willard. Her final years were spent in The Willows at Willard.
Sipkje was predeceased by her husband of 65 years (Thymen Krikke) in 2011. She is survived by a daughter, Florence of Fairborn, Ohio; sons, Arthur C. of Greenwich, Howard T. (Jane) of Greenwich, and Lorin K. (Michelle) of North Royalton; grandchildren, Joshua, Rachel, Nathan, Anna, Katie, Molly and Emily, great-grand-daughter, Laura and great-grand-sons Luke and Caleb.
Sipkje was preceded in death by four brothers, four sisters, and a granddaughter, Laura Jane.
The Krikke family will receive friends on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 12:30 pm at the Christian Alliance Church, 124 Maple St., Willard. A thanksgiving and memorial service for Sipkje's homegoing will be held at 2:00 p.m. immediately following the visitation with the Rev. Jim Trainer officiating. Burial will follow at Nineveh Cemetery, Greenwich.
