Thaddeus A. Sendelbach, 62, of New London, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016, due to complications of cancer. He was the first baby born in Seneca County on January 1, 1954, in Tiffin, Ohio, the fourth child of Rolland and Nova Sendelbach. Tad was a hard-working, good hearted, loving person with many talents, skills, and interests. The needs of his family, friends, and others were always top priority.
Tad graduated from Tiffin Columbian in 1972. He was a varsity letterman in cross country, wrestling, and track. Tad graduated from Findlay College, majoring in art education, where he wrestled and placed at Nationals. Tad taught two years in Hicksville, Ohio, and 21 ½ years in Wellington, Ohio as an art teacher before retiring. He coached cross country, wrestling, and track for several years and volunteered at the local Salvation Army. His favorite past time was attending auctions and flea markets, finding unique treasures, particularly art and jewelry. Tad loved being outdoors, and cheering for the Buckeyes and Browns. He was also an avid animal lover.
Tad is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Patty, whom he married May 2, 1981; son Zac and his wife Abby Sendelbach of Sandusky, daughter Kayla Rae and her husband Jordan Herrera of Findlay; father,Rolland of Tiffin; sisters, Rolanda and husband Frank Williams of Toledo, Tonja and husband Don Schneider of North Lima, and Adonica Sendelbach of Avon, IN; brothers, Michael and wife Lisa Sendelbach of Pearland, TX, and Ted Sendelbach of Tiffin; father in law, Bill Winiarski of New London; brother in law, William J. (Teresa) Winiarski of Mansfield; sisters in law, Pam Reynolds and Lois (Thomas) Freund all of Florida; and 20 nieces and nephews.
Preceded by his beloved mother Nova Sendelbach in 2006, and mother-in-law Sharon Winiariski in 2012.
The family will receive friends on Thursday January, 14th , from 4-7 pm at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London. At his request, a party will follow the visitation at the Sendelbach home.
