Wanda Jean Coward, 76, of Wellington, died on Tuesday, August 1, 2017. Born on June 19, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Mary Burgess. Wanda spent her childhood in Tennessee and moved to Ohio as an adult, and made LaGrange her home for most of her life.
Wanda enjoyed bowling and playing horseshoes as well as doing word searches and crossword puzzles. She was an avid reader and enjoyed sharing family photos and looking through scrapbooks. Wanda was a devoted sports fan and enjoyed watching the Browns and Cavs. Most important to Wanda were her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she cherished the time she spent with them.
Wanda is survived by her children Diane Coward-Leonardi, of Wellington, and Dwayne Coward, of LaGrange; grandchildren Elizabeth (Nakita) and Amanda Leonardi, David (Jaycee) Coward, and Brandi Coward; great grandchildren Maria and Aleena Leonardi, Riley Hawkins, Lillyanna Lysaght, and Madalynn Coward; siblings Bonnie Koviak, Rick and Dexter Burgess. She was preceded in death by her husband David Coward, and sister Joann Mustard.
