William "Will" J. Vickery

William "Will" J. Vickery, 80, of New London, died Friday, February 15, 2019 at home. He was born on April 19, 1938 in Canton, Ohio to the late William Howard and Josephine (nee Blozek) Vickery and raised by his late grandparents and had 4 siblings. Will was a mechanical engineer for Monode Marking Products, he was a hard worker and kept going to work as long as he could until his illness prevented him from doing so.

Will loved hunting and fishing and had played golf at one time and enjoyed watching sports as well, especially football and basketball. He was a Wisconsin Badgers fan but it should be clarified and noted that he did not cheer for the Green Bay Packers. He also loved visiting area wineries with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Carol (nee Bohland) Vickery; children, Tom (Jodi) Vickery of Evansville, WI, Brian (Kimberley) Gault of Nova and Lori (John) Clark of Ashland and special mother-in-law, Mona Bohland of New London. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and grandparents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Christina; grandson, Cody and son, Jamie.

Visitation will be from 2 pm until 5:30 pm on Thursday February 21, 2019 at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London, where a service will be held beginning at 5:30 pm on Thursday with Pastors Doug Lang and Lorry Mabiala officiating. To honor Will's wishes he will be cremated and buried at a later date privately in Nova Cemetery.
