Adam 'Jimmy' Bohland, age 90, of Ashland, died Friday, August 17, 2007 at Good Shepherd Home in Ashland. He was born August 20, 1916 in Akron, son of the late Peter & Elizabeth (Reiter) Bohland. He had lived in Akron until 1942 when he moved to Nova. He lived in Adario and Mansfield, before moving to Ashland. Jimmy was unable to work. He enjoyed traveling, going out to eat, and spending time with his family. He is survived by a sister, Esther Taylor of Ashland and two sister-in-laws, Louise and Mona Bohland. He was preceded in death by 5 sisters, Ann Schlaufman, Katherine Schlaufman, Elizabeth Cohenour, Ruth Schlayer and Magdaline Schmahl; and 5 brothers, Andrew, John, Peter, Herman and Donald Bohland. Friends may call from 6-8 pm on Monday, August 20 at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London and on Tuesday from 1pm until the time of funeral service at 2 pm. Pastor Patricia Reiter will officiate the service and burial will follow in Nova Cemetery.
