Adelbert H. Weber, 80, of Ashland passed into our Heavenly Fathers hands on Saturday May 24, 2014 at St. Vincent Charity Medical Center in Cleveland. Adelbert was born on December 16, 1933 in Lorain Ohio to the late Herschel and Gretchen (nee VonHuster) Weber. He was a veteran of the Armed Services and served in the United States Army for three years. Adelbert moved with his family to Wellington in 1957 when they started Weber Nursing Home. He assumed responsibility for his parents business in 1966 and over the years has developed what is today Weber health Care Center, Wellington Estates, and the Habilitation Center. Adelbert was a member of the Ohio Health Care Association and won the prestigious Pioneer award, recognizing his outstanding contribution to the long term care industry. He was a talented entrepreneur and a dedicated business owner who cared deeply for his staff and his residents. Adelbert had many passions including power boating and sailing, and the development of a horse farm in Sullivan. He enjoyed playing banjos and riding motorcycles. Also, Adelbert and his wife cherished the time they spent together at their home in St. Augustine Florida. Adelbert is survived by his loving companion of 35 years and wife of 7, Pat (nee Bouissey) Weber, his son Brian Weber of Elyria, and his nieces and nephew Joan Ross, Gregory Costello, and Allison Moore. He was preceded in death by a sister Gloria Gretchen Weber in 1996. Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, May 28, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Weber's Habilitation Center, 139 Weber Court, Wellington, 44090; and Thursday, May 29 also from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. On Friday May 30, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 512 North Main Street, Wellington, there will be calling hours from 10 a.m. until the time of a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11 a.m., with Fr James Reymann officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington. In lieu of flowers donations in Adelbert's memory may be directed to Well-Help, 127 Park Place, Wellington, or to a charity of the donor's choice that benefits the community of Wellington, which Adelbert cared so deeply about.
