Obituary

Albert A. 'Albie' Conaway, 70, of Greenwich, died Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky. He was born November 10, 1941, in North Fairfield, son to the late Russell and Mae (Gordon) Conaway. He was a graduate of North Fairfield High School in 1960 and worked at Akron Standard Mold and Midwest Industries. Albie served in the United States Army during Vietnam. Albie attended the Foundation Church in Norwalk. He was a member of the North Fairfield American Legion. He enjoyed fishing. Albie umpired many baseball games. Albie is survived by his children, Carol Stephens of Greenwich, Craig Conaway of Columbus, Calvin (Steffany) Conaway of Greenwich and Christina (Randy) McQuillen of Norwalk; grandchildren, Carissa Conaway, Tyler Stephens, Alissa Waugh, Kelly Conaway, Tristan Conaway, Karlie Conaway, Cameron Conaway, Corbin McQuillen, Collin McQuillen and Kelsey McQuillen; great granddaughter, Addison Rhode and great grandson, Leland Hart. He is also survived by his siblings, Norma Rang of Norwalk, Barb Warwick of Fruitland Park, Florida, Richard 'Butch' (Joan) Conaway of North Fairfield, sister-in-law, Janet Conaway of North Fairfield. He was preceded in death by his wife, Amy Sandy Conaway March 13, 2012, his brother, Russell and brothers-in-law, Roger Rang and Robert Warwick Family and friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Monday, July 2 at the Greenwich First Baptist Church, 96 Townsend Street, Greenwich where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday with Pastor Bob Hudberg officiating. Burial with military rites will follow at Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
