Albert Paul Krosse, 85, died at his home in Wellington, OH, on Saturday, May 12, 2012, after a long illness. As always, his loving wife Aileen was by his side.
Albert was born in Jersey City, NJ on February 8, 1927, the son of the late Ella Shannon and John Oskar Krosse. He graduated from St. Peter's Prep School in Jersey City, attended Fordham University, Yale University and then went on to serve in WWII, as a member of the Army Counter Intelligence Service, stationed in Japan. Albert worked for the Ford Motor Company in Brookpark, OH for 40 years. He was a machine repairman by trade and was a member of the UAW/1250. Albert married Aileen (MacCourtney) in 1950 and moved to Medina the next year. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church, where he served as an usher and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was always proud of his volunteer efforts that helped in construction of the church. Albert's hobbies included reading, genealogy, golf and computers. His devotion to his wife Aileen for 62 years of marriage was an inspiration to all who knew him. His love and support of his children will forever remain his legacy.
Albert is survived by his wife, Aileen, and 12 children: Mark (Lisa), Anne Bradstock (Bruce), Eve (Zoot), Beth, Paul (Mary), Matthew (Elaine), Sean (Katie), Mary (Bob), Albert, Daniel (Eddie), Tim (Tina), and Benjamin. Albert also leaves 20 loving grandchildren: Kristy, Michael, Allan, Amy, Zane, Matthew, Jennifer, Doug, Kate, Geoff, Sarah, Jane, Nick, Theresa, Jake, Marybeth, Joe, Zachary, Nathan and Courtney. Albert is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, his brother Jack and many more relatives and friends.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, May 15, from 9:30am to 11:00am, at St. Patrick's Church, 512 North Main Street (State Rt. 58), Wellington, OH, followed immediately by a Celebration of Life Mass.
