Aletha 'Lee' Brant, age 86, of New London, died Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at Fisher Titus Medical Center, Norwalk. She was born April 22, 1921 in Wellington, daughter of the late Clarence & Marie (Waite) Friend. She had lived in Elyria and in New London since 1950. Mrs. Brant was a cook in the New London Schools cafeteria for 25 years. She is survived by her daughter, Jean (Don) Field of New London; 2 sons, Timothy (Linda) Brant of Mascotte, Florida and Larry (Dreama) Brant of Medina; 11 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren,20great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson; 2 brothers, Lyle Friend and Donald Friend both of Wellington; a brother in law, Albert Praszek of North Ridgeville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Brant in 1993, her sister, Jeannette Praszek. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2007 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London with Rev. Seth Auman of the Norwalk First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, New London. Memorials if desired may be given to the New London Public Library, 67 S.
