Alexys D. "Jonzie" Jones, a beacon of sunshine, and fun-loving blessing to those around her, passed from this life to the next, on December 20, 2021, at the age of 26.  She was born on June 10, 1995, in Sandusky, Ohio to Monica McKay and Anthony Jones.  Alexys graduated from Sandusky High School and was diligently working towards a nursing degree through BGSU Firelands.

Although Alexys's life was full of many health struggles, she utilized those experiences to help provide counsel, support, and empathy to others.  A hippie at heart, she loved the Grateful Dead, Disney movies, soccer, and vacations with her family, who she loved deeply, and they cherished her.

She is survived by her mother, Monica McKay; father, Anthony Jones; grandmother, Eunicestine Black; brothers, Deven McKay, Dominic Jones, Damian Jones, Tyson Sedlacek, Anthony Jones, Antonio Sedlacek; sisters, McKenzie Jones and A'Zsha Bostic Jones.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and other loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank and Frances McKay; aunts, Carol Meyer and Diane Perry; uncles, Rick Leroux, Dave Perry; cousin, Timothy Leroux and great grandparents, Anthony and Edna Leroux.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 27, 2021, from 12 p.m. (noon) until the time of the 2 p.m. service at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W.
